Oooh! Is that on the menu for you tonight?
Spetzofai is on the menu tonight. First time to make it or eat it.
My mom’s ex made it a few times, I think. Stick to your ribs food.
I guess it’s also served as a meze. I’ve seen it on menus but haven’t ordered it.
I’ve ordered Lecsó, Hungarian tomatoes and peppers sometimes with Debricziner sausage, and I’ve made vegetarian Lecsó and Lecsó with bacon at home. This seems to be a similar type of dish.
Somehow I never think of sausage when I think of Greek cuisine. Looks like a great dish to have in the repertoire!
The loukaniko I bought was a bit like a kielbasa. Sometimes the orange zest and other flavours are little stronger.
There are also some other regional sausages.
A la Polita =in the Constantinople style, with lemon, dill and olive oil
Some Greek seafood stews beyond Psarosoupa and Kakavia.
Cretan kakavia
I love this dish! I only had it at Kozi, near Naxos Chora but is delicious!
I would love to try another version if i see it on a menu on my next trip to Greece.
