Found some gorgeous martini glasses today at the Philly AIDS thrift. Wanna share some of your funkier / interesting glassware?
D*mn girl, bad timing. I told my husband a few months ago that we had to clean out the deep (mainly funky booze glasses)! cabinet because we only use the ones in the front.
Fer shame! Most of our glassware is neither funky nor special, but I’m excited about these, and 2 martini glasses we got in Berlin last summer
I recently found this glass up-cycler in Philly, cool stuff made out of wine & liquor bottles:
You’re in Philly?! I had no idea!
No, I’m in Seattle, found them on Instagram
I’ll have to check them out! I am never on IG.
Yes, rotation of glassware is a good idea to avoid that greasy dusty funkiness that happens. Or just get rid of some of it. Or just reach back there en masse from time to time and run a big load through the DW.
3 of a set of 8 Old Crow bourbon promo glasses. Jim Beam bought out the Old Crow distillery in 1987.
These are beautiful! I’d buy them in a second if we had storage space. Even though we don’t drink martinis at home!
Right? And at $8 each how could we say no?
That could be dangerous as the evening progresses …
He missed some stuff way in the back. Do shot glasses count? Also, does anyone else remember those in home copper parties that were all the rage about 50 years ago. You had to buy something. Never been used. Still new in the boxes, collecting dust.
We did the same. Our 4.5 ounce Nick and Noras, used for martinis, are as funky as we have now. We also gave away a random bunch of Champagne flutes. We love Champs and other sparklers but prefer regular white wine glasses.
