Funky glassware?

Finally, our dispensaries are moving away from plastic containers and excessive packaging. It was disgusting how much plastic they used in the beginning.

Those are pretty! I’ll try to remember to take a pic of the water glasses I ordered through a bartender, who found them for his current place of employment, which is one of the venues we play regularly. Most of them are stored in our basement, as we have an abundance of water glasses & really didn’t need these

I probably don’t know what you yoots mean by “funky” anymore.

I mean… unusual? Different? I’m also pretty far from being a yout’

Okay then “whippersnapper” :face_with_hand_over_mouth:, but I guess we are on the same page regarding funky glasses. These are different from my usual “jelly” jars. My husband actually prefers to drink from the containers that come from stick blenders. I think that’s why my sister gave me these. :person_shrugging:t5:

Thank you! We use them regularly.

Martinis look pretty great in our newly acquired glassware, too

I’m HIPMOTIZED!

I have Prosecco flutes (shaped like a sort of stretched out, inwardly curving white wine glass) but alas they are too tall to fit in my kitchen cabinets — as are a whole lot of wine glasses made today. I find the shortest white wine glasses I can and use them for sparkling, too. The Nick and Nora’s OTOH fit everywhere, including in the fridge.

We’d bought and left these in Berlin last summer, but brought them back this year.

Glassware Is Getting Weird and Wobbly

Yeah, it truly is. It makes me appreciate the stability and slosh containment of Nick and Noras all the more.

Eh. I like to mix things up. Although wobbly glasses are decidedly a hard no, bc my boo fills our martini glasses to the rim

In those pictured in the article, the ONLY one I like is the blue one (2nd from right). Can be used either way; has a steady base. But $152 for a single glass? Umm, no. The coupe (2nd from left leaning against the amber glass on its side) is normal, unless I’m missing something.

No, they’re normal.

Prices on the few I looked up…sheesh. Then again, I’m an old and not into avant-garde things.

We found most of our martini glasses at secondhand shops in Berlin & Philly :slightly_smiling_face:

One set with lightning stems was a Target purchase (when we still shopped there).

Anyway, I’d rather spend my hard-earned cash on what goes into the glasses.

I’d pay close to that…for a dozen…if I liked them…a lot.

This is quite a collection
