Challah master recipe page 147. This recipe makes 4 1 lb loaves. I made half the recipe and used 1 lb to make this chocolate babka and other half I froze.
This recipe is used throughout the book to make breads, buns, donuts, etc. The dough is nice and soft and handles easily. I didnt use my mixer but if you make the full recipe you would have to. My filling is nutella with a sprinkle of chocolate chip. This is not the first time I make this babka. There are several different master recipes and if you enjoy working with yeast doughs, i highly recommend it.
