I found a Mauviel 1830 sauce pan at Marshall’s but I’m having difficulty identifying which cookware line it falls into. It measures 4" tall by 7" ID (7.63" OD) and holds about 2-1/2 qts. The edge is rounded and it’s difficult to tell if it’s tri-ply or not. It came with a glass lid and the handle is cast SS but the design is different from the traditional style. I found one online discussion from 10 yrs ago that talks about an M’360 line that was (maybe?) solid magnetic SS for induction cooking, and this pot is certainly heavy enough to be solid SS.
The lids seem to available from a variety of 3rd-party vendors, which added to my confusion! I’m convinced at this point that it’s an M’360 pan that escaped normal circulation. (Intended for the Euro and Aussie markets?) One or two commenters mentioned M’360 being a revamp of the “much-loved” Mauviel Induc’Inox line. I don’t have an induction range, nor do I plan on getting one, so having a solid SS pan doesn’t seem like the right purchase for me.
It’s certainly M’360, it’s available at times at my regular online outlet store when they had Mauviel private sales, not a lot, just a few pieces. Looks like it’s circa 2008. The handle is cast iron stainless steel, pot is stainless steel that is adapted for induction cooking. It’s first time I see the stamp on the pot though.
