Grilled onion rye bread.

Castelfranco radicchio, hazelnuts toasted in hazelnut oil, chervil vinegar, St. Agur blue cheese.

Trimmed and cut steaks from a sirloin cap earlier in the week. Finally got around to the trimmings today. Seared the meat after seasoning with salt, bit of olive oil and my favorite ground chili blend, then on the wrap with sour cream and some medium hot kimchi.

Grilled Rachel - ish sandwich. Pumpernickel rye bread, thin-sliced deli smoked turkey, sauerkraut, Thousand Island dressing, Swiss cheese.
When I checked online for a recipe/ingredients list I found these definitions “A Reuben has corned beef, swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing. A Rachel sandwich has sliced turkey, swiss cheese, coleslaw, and Russian or Thousand Island dressing.”

No pictures, since uncut it looked like every other grilled sandwich and I was hungry.

Today’s lunch was a felafel wrap and garlic sauce with no actual garlic in it.

Did they forget the garlic, or did you omit it?

I think they forgot the garlic. When you order a wrap at that place you get a pita and the protein requested then the server goes through the toppings asking which ones you want. He asked if I wanted garlic sauce and I said yes. It looked like he put a whole tablespoon on it but I couldn’t taste any garlic. He also gave me shredded lettuce, tomato slices, pickled turnips and pickled hot peppers. I should have scraped off a little of the sauce to try on its own. It could be there was so much food packed in that wrap the taste of the garlic sauce got buried in it.

Ugh, I hate it when you’re expecting a certain flavour, but then that flavour doesn’t come :sob:

A late sangueedge of Sam’s roti chicken breast, 2 slices of AF bacon, 2 slices of avocado, tender romaine leaves, on a folded slice of toasted Aldi’s bistro bread with a shmear of red chili pesto mayonnaise.

Didn’t suck, even tho the photo does.
