Open face egg cheese avocado on a bialy.
Thank you, I know you and Sunshine are going through similar things
All clear & after this year I should be a-ok
Does 3pm happy hour count as lunch???
I’ve been craving Mex-Am food for awhile. Happy Hour on Monterey’s Cannery Row. It’s been awhile since I’ve hit a HH.
Long drive from SF. Rita/Sierra Nevada back works!!
Wife saving her appetite for dinner. So I ordered the HH Beef Birria Tacos, 3 for $8.
Very good and huge portion. Dos mas Magaritas, por favor.
Dinner game plan changed. Our room has a fireplace and a semi Bay View.
We had brought two bottles of California red. An in room dine may be in our future.
Mezzaluna is quite close for a nice Italian dinner (if you decide against in-room dinner)
Leftover mapo tofu over sushi rice. The tofu somehow managed to get spicier over time
My only complaint would be that there was no leftover bok choy to go with it. Too bad that’s not a thing in our house
Chicken sandwich, cuc with blue cheese dressing, chips on the side.
And a slice of yesterday’s orange ricotta cake.
A quickie meal of toasted homadama, topped with fontina & nuked for 30 secs. Sprinkled with TJ’s smoky chili seasoning & scallion.
More often than not, a version of this would be my single girl dinner back in Germany. There, it would be rye, gouda, paprika, thinly sliced onion. In season I’d top it with fresh tomato slices after nuking. 10 min “pizza” :smiley
I made a Persian style lenti soup that @MunchkinRedux had on their menu plan for this week and it was delicious! This recipe is definitely a keeper. Too bad we don’t have smell-o-vision. It smells lovely!
I didn’t use all of the stuffing from last night’s trout (minced mushrooms, shrimp and salmon, chopped olives, pearl couscous), so it went into today’s Sunday omelet, along with brie and avocado.
A late lunch/breakfast after returning from a friend’s book party just now. By this point, I was pretty hungry Nuked, then pan-fried up the last piece of garlic dill pickle pizza.
Thought it might be better topped with a fried egg. Decided against it & had the egg as my second course
Tuna salad and tomato on fresh flaxseed sourdough, no need for toasting. Tuna had green olives, pickled onion, green Tabasco and mayo.
Okay you are now making me hungry. And I just had lunch
Ngl, it sure was tasty
King oyster shroom & Nueske’s bacon sauté topped with scallion.
Came out better than expected, if rather outrageously salty
Szechuan fish soup. Eternal thanks to my Wife for removing about half of peppercorns from the recipe. There was enough mala for my taste

On holiday in Kyoto, Japan and filling up on sushi to my heart’s content
I love that eggplant dish!
