Ginger scallion noodles again, with fried egg and broccolini and chili oil.
Last night, chorizo chickpea salad, steamed broccoli with a dollop of mayo, very ripe avocado with TJ‘s chile lime seasoning and fresh lime juice.
I can relate. When calories counting (like now), I don’t have as much patience to record, enter, estimate portions, and calculate each meal. I rely more on packaged/prepared or simple foods.
Those look excellent! What type of noodles are those?
i love this whole night!
love this meal, but REALLY love the kitty silverware!
i used to LOVE the one in Lisbon, but this last time I went it was so crowded it took way too long to get a seat. but the food was still very good.
Although we only received a few of the “feeder bands” from Hurricane Hilary, it was enough to twist and damage my big mesquite tree. I’ve been doing quite a bit of trimming trying to save it… we’ll see if it survives.
With all that work, I didn’t really have the time or energy to prepare a proper meal, so last night’s dinner was hamburgers on the “George Foreman” grill, mac & cheese and peas.
OK, I laughed at work reading this.
And of course, NOW I have Eric Idle from Monty Python in my head.
Sometimes simple and straightforward is exactly what you need. Hope your tree is okay.
Glad to hear I am not the only one with an earworm today
Thank you… I trimmed out all of the damaged/twisted wood and put “Tree Kote” on the wounds. That is pretty much all I can do, the rest it up to mother nature.
Thanks! Those noodles are frozen chukamen, Musashino Foods brand, from Nijiya Market, reheated in boiling water for about a minute.
I just now learned that ramen are considered a Chinese noodle?!
Took it easy tonight: frozen TJ’s thin crust pizza and a big arugula salad with walnut dressing, peaches, pears, and garden tomatoes.
Rotisserie chicken dinner(bird was from Farm Boy grocery store), roasted garlic/Parm mashed/St Hubert “chicken gravy” / oven roasted broccoli, peppers and red onions.
Being hopeful the tree survives!
Thanks!! I really like this tree, it is quite large (for a mesquite tree) and shades the house.
