Its even funner when you tell the kids at the register, " I remember seeing them in concert at ‘such and such’ in ‘year’. Respect goes up a few notches. Just don’t get too Cliff Clavin-y about it.
LOL! Hadn’t thought about that! I usually just ask if they enjoy the music that’s playing. Sometimes a yes, sometimes a “it’s not bad, I guess”, and sometimes a “I’ve learned to tune it out.” Which is obviously a no.
I was surprised that those singing along were way younger than I am.
Thanks Linda!
They were LIVE and jumping! Bought them in a Chinese supermarket in Scarborough, Toronto - " Fieldfresh ". $38 a pound. Those were exactly 2 pounds…25 prawns.
Between us at home and my kids’ karate instructor, they are well up on all the 80s music and sometimes I think our younger one likes it equally well to whatever he is listening to that is more current.
Woot! Only about 25% knit back together (seriously, WTF), but I’m allowed to put weight on it in a boot and hopefully stimulate more healing. I am seeing a light out of the tunnel of despair.
Thanks Charles.
YAY! Happy you are healing!
VERY good news!
Go @ChristinaM! While it’s not easy to wait while healing happens, you deserve a great recovery.
If only people got the health outcomes they deserve! I wish (in both directions
)!
Yay!!
We picked this one up over at Dion’s (formerly D+L Liquors) on the other side of town!
Another day spent inside for the most part due to the still pretty shitty air quality. Basically just left the house for the hospital & a visit to the supermarket to purchase kraut for our dinner: Reuben sammiches courtesy of a wonderful friend who’d gifted me a Katz’s care package thru Goldbelly <3
We didn’t finish the corned beef, nor were we able to finish our sammiches. They’ll make a fabulous lunch tomorrow, however
Dinner last night on the deck - it was a balmy 84 degrees yesterday. Just the regular OG spinach salad, with the usual cast of characters.
Tonight’s dinner was fried cabbage and egg noodles with the last of the pre CSA veggies in the fridge.
Are you people on Instagram? People like Mr. Professor aka Nick Harrison are the only reason why I am. When he sets his basket down, you know he’s gettin’ down!
One of my favorite salads…
