Sorry I’m late, folks!
Well, it seems EVERY day in August has a day to celebrate food, according to the Interwebs. I have no idea who decides what day is going to be a “national” celebration (probably the manufacturers or growers of said celebratory food item), but here are some of your choices:
August 2nd - National Ice Cream Sandwich Day
August 3rd - National Watermelon Day
August 4th - National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day
August 6th - National Root Beer Day (close enough!)
Those 4 right there are a good way to start out the month, doncha think?
August 8th - National Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbor’s Porch Day
August 10th - National S’Mores Day
August 13th - National Filet Mignon Day
August 16th - National Bratwurst Day
August 18th - National Fajita Day
August 19th - National Potato Day
August 20th - National Bacon Lover’s Day
August 24th - National Waffle Day
Well, the 20th goes hand-in-hand with the 19th!
August 25th - National Whiskey Sour Day
August 28th - National Red Wine Day
Can’t forget the libations for those amongst us who libate!
August 30th - National Toasted Marshmallow Day
August 31st - National Eat Outside Day
And just so you know, August 8th is INTERNATIONAL Cat Day, while August 26th is just an ordinary National Dog
Day. And as we all know, cats rule, dogs drool.
So which of those national celebrations will you be enjoying this month?
