Red Potato soup with Baby Bella Mushrooms. Real comfort food for me!

A salad with some humus and babaganosh, and some pita.

That bowl is lovely!

Actually a soup bowl in a large serving bowl…( I am a sloppy eater!!!)
Thank you!

this is so random, but I love that place! i can’t believe i can tell just from your description of the pasta, but celeste is awesome.

Its been a chicken week! Enjoying all your early Fall dishes!
Tonight I shredded the breast meat from a Costco bird and made chicken salad on seeded ww bread with sliced cukes, tomato, bib lettuce and red pepper spread/dip. Made a crunchy roasted B sprouts salad for Friday. Apples with honey-tahini dip for later.

Cheers🥪

Chicken it is. I have thighs on the smoker at the moment. A head of cauliflower broken down to be roasted or puréed into a faux mash potatoes. Puréed may win out just from a time factor

Because I’ve never seen that pasta anywhere else either, lol

It’s a running joke with the owner that we always order exactly the same things… I think he was amused that I managed to convince the other person at the table to get the pasta because I wasn’t hungry

That sounds fantastic!

I browned and drained half a tube of sage pork sausage in chunks and added to a package of Aldi pumpkin spelt “risotto”, which heavily featured rosemary. Grated pecorino romano over top - it was actually pretty decent. Sides were yellow squash with garlic, jalapeño, and honey, cucumber salad with sumac and pom molasses, and leftover garlic long beans.

The color of those beans always gets me

Finishing up fridge things… sautéed pea leaves, mushroom salad, quino/rice, rounded out with sautéed ground turkey in the leftover tare sauce from last week’s king oyster mushrooms.

Came across a new version of my favorite chilli sauce when I was in Chinatown and it’s AMAZING - chewy, meaty black mushroom pieces in chili oil… I think I’ve died and gone to heaven… Tried it earlier on avocado (weird, yes, but I was bored of my usual chili lime salt - also: surprisingly delicious)

That chili crisp sounds really good!

Could you tell me more about how you make the chili sauce? Chili, garlic, ginger, salt?

Also - do you serve the chicken skin on?

Ok how did you do the cool photo side swipe thing… or is that a desktop feature?

It’s really good, but not crisp. The chilli crisp is awesome too, but the mushrooms in the new “condiment” are OTT.

I totally missed that gallery! Cool and answered my question about skin!
