exactly. he got off oxy 2 days after being home for 4 days, but back on again.
Kudos to @LindaWhit, I “borrowed” it from her.

I used to use it as a base and then kick it up with added onion and jalapeños. I liked its fresh taste.
Are you supposed to rinse lentils ?
i buy lentils bulk (20-25 pound bags) and - yes - they definitely need to be rinsed well before using.
I feel like I’ve seen the instruction many times to rinse lentils and pick them over to remove any stones.
Yes, I always rinse lentils as well. That’s how Mom did it, and that’s how I do it now.
Cool pasta shape!
I took a page out of your book and arranged a happy hour for six of my girlfriends yesterday evening. We had a lovely time, I had my first ever espresso martini, we’re gonna do it again, and I was able to come home to a Japanese beef curry dinner that my child had prepared so I didn’t have to do any work to put dinner on the table. Win win win!
We also buy them in 10lb bags (different varieties) but have never rinsed them - they never look “dirty”
I echo the feeling. I get such satisfaction from moving leftovers out of bigger and into smaller Tupperwares lol! I don’t think that makes me weird. Right?
Quart to pint! Pint to half pint! I also have those green boxes, which are likewise subject to downsizing. Look! I can get all the spinach into the smallest one, now. And then I gaze into my crisper drawer, and all the extra room there.
Gosh, no. Why would anyone think that? ![]()
My grandmother used to do that…if someone to so much as a bite, she’d put it in a smaller container. If it didnt fit she would eat the leftovers…then complain about her waistline.
for me it’s not what the lentils look like, rather what the rinse water looks like.
i use to eat dirt all the time as a kid, especially those things that came out of the easy bake ovens the girls use to have as toys. nowadays i don’t need the flavor enhancements.
Rio Mare tuna in olive oil/romaine/tomatoes/cucumber/Parm/Regg shavings/ a couple dashes of hot sauce and red wine/Dijon vinaigrette.
Tonight I made miso glazed eggplant farro bowls with cilantro. They also included crispy baked tofu, roasted glazed butternut squash and broccoli, sesame-ponzu cucumber salad, fennel slaw with creamy Sriracha dressing, chickpeas, and mixed greens. Everyone enjoyed (some combination of) dinner.
My doctor grandfather said that everyone needs to eat some dirt as a kid. Good for your immune system I guess.
Don’t know if your neighbor has thought of this, but what warms me up the absolute fastest when I am so cold is having a cup of hot tea. Between holding it and drinking it, it warms me up from both directions.
When Im camping (like this next week) the last thing I do at night is boil water for tea. I have a cup of tea, the heat of the burner warms the tent, and I fill a hot water bottle with the rest of the kettle.
Others laugh at me for my old lady ways, but i kick on the propane heater and am cosy til dawn (or I have pee, whichever comes first…)
