That sounds so fun!
Leftovers from Christmas dinner - seared slice of rib roast, cornbread muffin, jus, scalloped potatoes, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, mushrooms, and asparagus.
On an impulse, I bought a lobster tail that was on sale. It truly was an impulse; I have never had lobster tail and, of course, never cooked it. So I hope you will share with me your methods for cooking lobster tail.
I have never had it because I have always been told the meat is sweet. I do not care for a sweet taste in meat. But decided I do want to try it for myself.
So looking forward to your methods and thank you in advance for sharing.
I’d steam over salted water, TBH. Lobster meat is sweet in the way that crab meat & shrimp might be considered sweet, but not actually sweet… if that makes any sense.
Hope you enjoy. All that is needed is drawn butter and a squeeze o’ lemon ![]()
How long should it be steamed, please.
5-10 min depending on size. Roughly one minute per ounce. You want the shells a bright red, and the meat to be opaque.
Butter poaching or grilling
Thank you.
Thank you.
Didn’t feel like cooking, and had the last of the freezer chicken and another H&D pear from the gift box at work to use up.
A chicken, Havarti, and pear panino with honey mustard schmeared on the inside. Not bad.
I’m not a big fan of pears but that sounds delicious.
Slices of a nice tart apple would work better, IMO.
Like @LindaWhit not in the mood to cook and snacky stuff to use up.
A Nibbly Meal. Always a good choice!
No real cooking @casa lingua, either ![]()
Still cold as ballz out. Only went out for a quick trip to the Asian market to replenish our baby bok choy stash, bc I liked my dinner so much last night I made ex-ZACKly the same thing today, plus I woke up with the sniffles
& hope the chile oil will knock it right outta me ![]()
My boo was able to add some noodz & a little turkey meat today. Baby steps ![]()
Pork noodles and pickled veg. Pork tenderloin was rubbed with gochujang and roasted, Momofuku wavy noodles and broth from a Nagi recipe. Green onion and jammy egg.
I don’t mind the flavor. For me it’s more of a texture thing. I don’t like the graininess.
The first one I had taken from the gift box was slightly grainy. This one was perfectly smooth, which surprised me!
