My kiddo made me laugh so hard. He took a bite of the pasta and said, “Hey, this tastes JUST like my mom’s mac and cheese!” Thanks buddy…your mom made it :joy:

Asparagus Frittata with Ricotta and Chives from “Dinner” by Melissa Clark - started on the stove and finished in the oven. Made with cut up green asparagus and eggs until bottom lightly set and added some ricotta and chives before putting it in the oven. Afterwards, finished with olive oil, lemon juice and parmesan

It is better to view the maddening crowds at the airport from afar! Let us know how the CC book is. I have an older one that may need updating.

I miss Sizzler.

Good news, much to be thankful for!

Yes… she is eating and sleeping with no problems nor issues. Sunshine is a little bored, but the doctor wants her to stay home until Dec. 15th. (I guess this is to avoid exposure to other individuals and possible infection??)

Yesterday was a special 1/2 price day at Goodwill (everything on sale), so I picked up a bunch of movies on DVD for her to watch. At 1/2 price they are only 65 cents (each), so that will provide some entertainment, as she likes movies.

She also has some books to read, so at this point – the only problem is she is a little bored.

Woks of Life Shanghai-style braised pork belly I made Sunday, over broken rice, and BF’s cuke salad. I doctored up the WOL recipe by adding more sugar, more soy/dark soy, a little salt, and three Thai red chili peppers split in half. Really tasty.

Ummm…I eat in front of the TV on the coffee table all the time, and I’m a civilized person! Well, except when I’m not.:grin:

The bane of anyone cleaning out their parents’ or grandparents’ kitchens.

Or someone who doesn’t cook the way you do.

An utterly disgusting cloudy & wet day — the only bright aspect of which was finding an excellent new PCP for my PIC and me!

We also made our final :turkey: Day shopping run to the liquor store & the supermarket (3 fat fennel bulbs & gorgonzola for my salad), where a couple of grown-ass women were throwing an absolute hissy fit at the deli. Not sure what that was all about, as we were too far away, had shopping to do & don’t care for drama. The only thing that could’ve made them look any more childish is if one of them had started stomping their feet. Yikes! :scream:

I can only assume pre-holiday jitters have peeps on edge, but who knows :woman_shrugging: Yet another reason I’m so grateful for a stress & drama-free holiday with my darling & just a couple of good friends

My PIC had forgotten to grab whole milk for his Biscoff ice cream, so we returned to the local dairy, and I grabbed a gallon of Cretan olive oil at the Turkish store for the fasoulakia* I decided to start today, which is my other contribution for our Friendsgiving dinner.

As for WFD tonight, my sweets made cheeborgerz with Wegmans chuck & brisket burgers topped with ultra-sharp ‘murrcan & Havarti,

plus L&W pommes rot-weiß. Yumbowski! Shared a Mexicoke to go with, as ever.

*I did NOT use the entire gallon, despite it being a lathera dish  , but there’s probz at least 1/3 of a cup in there, along with TPSTOG & one onion, lotsa Greek oregano, tomato paste & crushed tomatoes. Tastes lovely already & should be even better on Thursday.
