Saw you both in the video. Y’all look terrific!
Your asparagus look so fantastic!
Our Boston-area farmers market opens Saturday rain or shine in Union Square, Somerville (forecast is drenching rain), and emails from farms who will be there say there will be local asparagus! I am so excited…it’s such a short, fleeting season here and the difference between local asparagus and supermarket asparagus is one of the biggest differentials for produce…(add in local strawberries and peaches).
I couldn’t wait so when I got an email from Momma’s in North Cambridge that they have local ramps, green garlic, garlic chives, and asparagus, I insisted on going there today, calling it the mother’s day treat for me.
No, the Bob Father was not there
And Mrs. P did say luscious She had a full mouth when she answered the question.
Thank you
Wow! I don’t think I have any farmers markets near me quite yet, but I’ll have to check out the small Farmer Dave’s farm stand near me (or go to their Dracut site).
I look forward to it every year. Nothing quite like it back in the boonz.
thank you! be careful of what you ask for…
daaaayyummmm… i don’t think i’d ever attempt making lengua myself…
It’s pretty easy! I followed this recipe with a beef tongue from Costco in the Instant Pot:
Chicken Piccata, wonderful Washington asparagus, butter and parm. Little gem, red cabbage, red onion, cucumber, tomato salad, oo&v dressing.
I had to watch it twice so I know exactly who you are referring to but unfortunately no that isn’t me
Currently the Bobfather is hustling down in Point Pleasant getting Family Tavola South off the ground.
If in the area please say hello, it “might” get you a free slice.
Tonight I used up the last of our “clearance” vegetables. I had one last bell pepper (yellow) and a pack of mushrooms. Initially, I was going to prepare a pasta bake, but Sunshine said she wanted another pizza, so I made another pizza. This one is half bell pepper and mushrooms and half onion and mushroom. Sunshine really likes bell peppers, so I wanted her to have them.
Not the best looking pizza, but it sure did taste good!!
I love chicken piccata, and yours looks delish!
I read the Family Tavola thread as it is entertaining and lots of pics of delicious food! Unfortunately, I’d have to fly to NJ from the UK to take you up on the offer of a free slice. Family Tavola looks like a fantastic restaurant and I love the fact you are supporting the community with free meals as well via the dinner church.
Ok you drive a hard bargain! I’ll give you 2 free slices if you come in! Thank you for noticing my business!
beef tongue from Costco! who’da thunk it! thanks!
oh man… i might be too squeamish to pull off the skin!
as i scrolled up from the bottom i was thinking that looks really good!
