I am going to third the notion that it cannot possibly be too long or wordy. Your trip reports are epic in the best possible way and much to be savored!!

OK, that is NOT the type of triple crown that anyone wants to deal with! I hope his medical issues ease up very soon!

Jay-zuz… have you glanced at any of my trip reports where I wax poetic about burgers and pizza eaten by an elementary-aged boy ad infinitum? Albeit in cool places.

I tend to take care of a lot of my shopping in Berlin early on, and today returned victoriously with a nice loot :man_dancing:t2:: got a pair of black Skechers on sale even tho I despise wearing sneaks outside of the gym/playing sports, but I bit the bullet bc I don’t have any proper walking shoes here (well, besides my Docs & a couple of pairs of sandals, but it’s still not really warm enough for the latter). I also got a bunch of cool new tights for myself & as well as my gal pals, who requested I bring some back for them :hugs:, and finally a big, soft, warm grey scarf for scootin’ around town until actual spring temps might arrive….for $20 at that! Score.

We had a lovely lunch at our favorite Thai food truck, which unfortunately made our insides big mad. They, like us, had clearly forgotten just how spicy those dumplings are :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

And so, milder fare was in order for dinner. More of that Good German Bread,

German & Italian cheeses & salumi, organic liverwurst

plus the house spread and some baba ganoush from a Turkish deli down the road.

The house spread is made with walnuts, sun-dried tomatoes, various spices & herbs and is very good, the baba ganoush was far too heavy on the vinegar, unfortunately :slightly_frowning_face:

My dood was going to leave me all by my lonesome after our dinner to watch some silly sportsing game, but managed to VPN it

Had the fried chicken craving pretty bad today, so off to Popeyes I went.
Grabbed a spicy chicken sandwich and a 2 piece combo with mashed potatoes.
The sandwich was free because of loyalty points :sunglasses:
The whole thing came out to $13.79 including tax, not a bad deal. Only ate the sandwich and mashed, will save the rest for tomorrow. :crossed_fingers:t2::sweat_smile:

Still working our way through the shrimp enchilada casserole, tonight with roasted asparagus. We’ll finish it up tomorrow most likely!

Homemade black bean soup with RG Midnight Black Beans, garnished with lime crema, avocado and radish. Salad of Little Gem (which I can finally get here at the far end of the supply chain!), hearts of palm, avocado, radish, @Vecchiouomo’s taco salad dressing.

My in-laws are visiting, and they are aspiring low carbers. We had a busy evening of kid activities so I girded our loins with some hearty afternoon apps (we skipped lunch). I made Ina’s roasted shrimp cocktail with homemade spicy cocktail sauce, a veggie platter with blue cheese dressing, steamed edamame, and mini chicken-cheese empanadas with salsa (Aldi).

For dinner I made Milk Street’s mojo chicken traybake with roasted [beets and butternut squash], garden asparagus (their garden), and lemony fennel slaw. Went over really well. I enjoyed TJ’s Casone Vermentino along with.

They were so different from grocery store asparagus; it was crazy! Really flavorful but also sweeter.

Dinner on Wednesdays have to be quick since it’s yoga night so it’s usually 8:00 by the time I get home. Tonight I made pork and green bean stirfry from recipetin eats this time tossing in some leftover rice that I made last weekend. I usually make the rice separately to have on the side butI think I prefer tonight’s method better and less dishes to clean up.
