What's For Dinner #110 - the Earth, Wind & Fire Edition - September 2024

We spent the better part of the day in Fishtown, where we snacked our way through a lovely street festival. Heading to the subway back home we passed a fabulous bakery & practically had to try some of their breads: a seedy sourdough and a Homadama. Here we are, hoarding loaves again, but thankfully we still have some room in the freezer

We were therefore in desperate need of cheeses & prosciutto, which we picked up in our nabe.

Dinner was a few slices of the seedy sourdough,

Raschera & Bamboozle — a wonderful goat/cow’s milk cheese from PA’s award-winning Goat Rodeo Dairy,

the last slices of the smoked steelhead trout & San Daniele,

marinated anchovies,

poached shrimp with cocktail sauce, and capers & chive cream cheese,

and wild red arugula with lemon dressing & parm.

No fuss & delish. The bakeries here are a delight. Wine pairing was a cheapo CA Riesling from TJ’s.

Horror flick coming up for dessert…
