Thank you!
I took dinner up to the asparagus neighbors tonight. Texas sausage slammers, Melissa Clark’s fake baked beans and a crispy cucumber and pickled red onion salad with sour cream. Sad I don’t have a picture because it plated up beautifully. The slammers are very pretty sliced. Anyway had a lovely time and was gifted more asparagus plus flowers from their garden on my way out, lucky me!

What sorcery is this?
I have an enormous amount of turnip greens exploding out of my garden right now, so in an effort to use them up I subbed them in for spinach in saag paneer. Turned out pretty darn tasty!
Texas sausage slammers. I got them from Goldbelly but it turns out you can order them direct. Delicious and handy to have in the freezer.
Italian olive sausage over black lentils.
Eight minutes in the air fryer at 400 did the right thing.
Well, at the point of posting you were still alive! I say keep at it
Looks fabulous! And good on you for not passing off a stock/website pic as your own.
Who does that, anyway?
Love saag paneer! That’s some restaurant-worthy looking Indian food right there
Thanks for the inspiration! Here we are about to enter the time of year when it’s hard to keep up with the greens in our CSA share.
Got out the ol’ KitchenAid pasta attachments and made linguini with favas, shallots, shrimp, ricotta and mint. Added the mint too early, but otherwise, no notes! I regret not making a lot more pasta so I could freeze it, what was I thinking.
Well, that’s a little jaunt in the Wayback Machine! Gah - how long ago was that?
My in-laws call this a “fatty.” As in, “Your Uncle Rick is smoking up a fatty.”
I tried to look, but she’s been purged from the records.
That is NOT what a fatty means around here!
Nope, right here in this thread. The poster never did get back to us about their recipe, just shared a picture taken from a random website.
And 13 forks, too
My next greens-consuming plan is a spanikopita
Ohhh, yeah - figured that was an AI bot or spammer so I ignored.
Nor here lol. We were like…wha?
I was liking/forking the fact that this individual took dinner to her neighbor.
Last night, I took a slice of quiche up to Neighbor #2. She didn’t ask for dinner, but I knew cooking her meals has been a bit taxing for her, lately.
