Tri-tip cheeseburger and fries
Lovely! My favorite Indian dish, which I have never been able to master at home. Any recipe, tips or hints for the home cook?
Fettuccine and shrimp in a spicy spicy tomato sauce, fresh baby basil from my window sill , a good dusting of Parm/Regg. Garlic bread on the side.
I swear I bought spaghetti, but didn’t realize until I opened the package that it was fettuccine
Good thing I like both.
Looks like it was pasta night tonight!
Fettuccine with some pistachio pesto I made yesterday for the freezer, and sauteed asparagus on top. Doesn’t look like a lot of pesto, but it’s in there…just thinned out with pasta water. It was good!
I was going to use pistachios in my pesto last Saturday. But I ate all of them . Went with the traditional pine nuts . The health food store here sells small bags of organic ones . I paid a round 8 dollars for a handful. They were good . I toasted them before use .
I would love to have used pine nuts, but I have to use the ones from the Mediterranean/Italy. The others (from Korea, Russia, Vietnam, China) give me pine mouth.
So a pesto with Mediterranean pine nuts is prohibitively expensive for me.
I feel the same . These did not give me pine mouth.
I made old-skool lentil tacos that took forever to soften because I recycled taco braising liquid that contained tomato. Bad photo and no, I don’t know why I have two forks, either. Tasted good.
Leftover Mexican rice – I guess my DH doesn’t like it.
Looks fab
Rotel tomato, local fontina, chicken mac & cheese
Baked lamb keftedes (Greek meatballs with cumin and oregano), cucumberless tzatziki, and salad.
Raw oysters in June??!! Brave soul and GOOD LUCK!!!
Tonight’s dinner was an Asian style wrap. Ingredients included poached chicken, cucumber and rice noodles served over romaine lettuce leaves and garnished with a bbq sauce, fresh mint and coriander. It was a messy yet delicious meal.
Go Oilers!
Fresh from Wellfleet Harbor right outside the door!!
Pork souvlaki kebabs on the Big Green Egg. Greek-ish salad. Refried scallion-roasted spuds from the leftover-shelf. Raita. Hummus. Marinated olives and feta.
last night, BF made us fried tofu, and i had mine with a garlicky/sesame/soy sauce, over more of the garlicky sinangag, which this time i let fry a longer time, resulting in a wonderful, chewy texture to the rice. must remember that.
tonight, i had the leftover tofu and sauce over half a pack of A-Sha Meteor noodz.
that looks fabulous!
love Osteria Mozza! I was in L.A. months ago for a long weekend and we went, had a wonderful meal that so distracted us we ended up missing our flight home. A ($$$$) nightmare, but i still remember that dinner fondly.
