The sauce almost looks heart shaped. It would make a great Valentine’s Day treat.
You are correct! Good eyes! I must remember this for V day!
I went to a demo-style cooking class, with samples, last night and learned how to make crepes with various filling and sauces. I practiced my technique tonight for our dinner - crepes for our main (chicken-filled) and 2 desserts, one of which was Crepes Suzette (orange butter sauce). Not flambe. I am happy to have a new skill and fun, tasty, meal options.
We were ALL OUT OF BAKLAVA , and my bestie had only ever tried mediocre, mass-produced iterations of the famous Dubai chocolate. Both needed to be remedied, so after our fab day at my favorite lake we swung by the baklava / Dubai chocolate purveyor.
Now she gets the hype
I picked up some Lori Anne peaches at Wegmans yesterday. They’re only there for a short time, and are SO good! I made a peach cake that was very light, but it wasn’t as peachy as I had hoped. Still, it was very tasty, and I’m certainly not tossing it!
Apricot pistachio almond frangipane tarts, brushed with a little apricot jam, dusted with confectionery sugar.
Warm apricots with jam still warm from this morning’s small jam session. Warmed the apricots with a bit of the jam , added raspberries and pistachios, a little sour cream. Must make more sponge cake!
A bowl of very plump raspberries drizzled with a tiny bit of orgeat.
Quite possibly our final purchase of Pașam’s delectable baklava
And? How was it??
I think I was so excited I posted about this on multiple threads but only reported on what I thought in one! I would get it again as a summertime treat
