NO BAKE?
That’s a dangerous recipe to share. Best not to tell my PIC

Pistachio pudding, chocolate and pistachios sprinkled on top.
This was a crème patisserie that I added some pistachio cream to the base, very pistachio flavored.
You. Are. Killing. Me
Lawdy.
One of your favorite flavors😁
Indeed! I should prompt my PIC to make pistachio ice cream again
Well, I got my 'stachio fix last night!
Happy girl
What is the center filling besides pistachios? I think I might have to add some pistachio dust to my next chocolate cake!
That is a very good question! We didn’t finish the whole slice last night, so I will try to taste just the middle when we have it for dessert tonight
Iirc, you had said in an earlier posting that that it was a cheesecake? Maybe it’s just plain cheesecake in the center?
Maybe? Happy to investigate further
Investigation report: inconclusive
I tried just tasting the middle, and it was a relatively indistinct, mildly sweet flavor… so I think you were right — probz just vanilla or plain. The pistachios mixed in didn’t hurt
Sweet treat with my afternoon coffee: the last* rolled pistachio baklava from the new Turkish place in town.
*Not really, as we have a whole package of it in the freezer from the Turkish market owned by the same fam…but it’s probably best I don’t thaw any of them any time soon
And some more savoiardi, this time with a mocha pastry filling, ranking in the top of the group so far, the choco/espresso flavoring is always a hit. This was made on Monday and the last of it was served today. A good choice for a make ahead dessert.
Peanut butter cake. Not overly sweet, but a bit dry. A peanut butter ganache frosting would’ve made this perfect
I love all things passionfruit. Is there a recipe link?
I have a Roux Brothers passionfruit recipe that I looked at, but the price of the fruit deterred me. However, a company called Gusta Supplies in Toronto carries fruit purée from the Swiss company Boiron that is affordable, so one of these days perhaps…
The best price for fresh is usually at FreshCo, but I buy the frozen puree at Bienvenidos or La Tiendita. They have seedy or seedless. I go through a lot of it.
Thanks for those sources; I had never heard of them before.
