The rizo means rice in Greek!

rizogalo (rice milk) is rice pudding and so on!
The spana is the spinach. Spanakopita, spanakorizo, etc.

There are some other rizo things, too! No pork sausage involved!

And, Kalo Riziko, Good Rice, is what you say when you wish someone good luck, or congratulate them on a new purchase, new house , etc. Also the idea behind it throwing rice at weddings (good luck but bad for birds. Then throwing bird seed at newlyweds was a thing for a little while)
