Slice of Aldi’s bistro bread, local garlic & herb cream cheese, 2 HBEs from local hens, paddy o’scallions — the only Irish remnants :slight_smile:

In the Stupid-Easy department: NYT’s faux Jian Bing (gift link). Flour tortilla. Leftover chow mein (minced). An egg scrambled with a splash each of light soy and sesame oil. Served with homemade chili crisp. Ate one, wanted two. :yum:

Wishing to be an Irish soda scone from Mary O ‘s, this approximation was pretty good. I’ve made it several times now and it scratches the itch. Homemade whole blackberry jam for those who don’t mind the seeds!

Yes, Food52 has a “ recipe” that purports to be the same, but I know she uses Odlum Self Raising Flour, not AP. I used WL self rising flour.

I’ve had their soda bread, but not the scones. I should get over there; I’m pretty close.
