The gift that keeps on giving: beef tacos with crisped up shredded MS roast. Fried the tortillas in lard. Herdez, Thai shallot, radish, lime, El Yucateco chile jalapeños sauce.
Sadly, no cilantro left inda house. We made do.

OUCH…
Yea, I was underground when I made my mistake. Part of DC’s metro system is underground and I lucked out.
Sorry for your train excursion, but thanks for adding to my slang vocabulary - “BRICK” just is a building material here in the Midwest. My quick search found the NYC meaning, but sources seem baffled about the origin.
That looks great! Welcome to HO
It’s a very fine turn of phrase imho!
Welcome to HO! And that frittatta looks delicious.
Patty Melts for breakfast you say? Yes, Ma’am!
I actually made this dish for dinner the other night, and botched it so bad I didn’t bother to post. Scorched the toast, and somehow managed to oversalt the thing to the point of inedibility. We couldn’t finish them and they ended up chucked in the bin.
So, to satisfy my craving (and bruised ego), I gave it another go this morning. A fresh loaf of caraway rye, and easy on the seasonings, please.
Good stuff.
Hot diggity!
Glad you got back on the horse!
DH kept hoping for something wrong with it this morning, as he knew it would compel me to take yet another shot at it.
Beef shawarma in a pita for breakfast today.
Damn dude, that turquoise rice is calling to me.
Gasp - is that KETCHUP on the hashbrown?!? (at least have the decency to hide it under muffin top before photo…)
No catsup shaming pls:)
