Cold-smoked BC king salmon on hard-boiled eggs. Multi-grain crackers with herb-marinated goat cheese. Leftover roasted carrots, eaten cold. Blueberries. Gazpacho.
Scallions, herbs, berries, carrots, and peppers from the garden.
I went out antiquing again this morning…this time to Laconia and Concord, NH.
But I made a pre-trip breakfast stop once again at Vic’s. Two scramblies, home fries, bacon, toasted English, fresh squeezed OJ and cawfee. Breakfast of champions.
P.S. my sister was NOT happy to see this via text. “That’s not very heart healthy.” Which is why I have it maybe twice a year at Vic’s.
Salmon hash with tinned fish, old-crop Dutch potatoes, and scallions. A herbaceous sour-cream-and-Dijon sauce to go with (I used chives and tarragon). Fried eggs to order. Berries. Gazpacho.
Fridge-sweep breakfast tacos with fresh Spanish chorizo, twice-cooked spuds, pico de gallo, and a serrano-chili-spiked homemade ranch. There was gazpacho.
Champagne brunch following an intimate, wonderful backyard wedding ceremony of our dear HK friend and his boo, ministrated by another close friend. We were honored to be a part of their celebration. I’m not a day drinker at all & took her easy with the prosecco — especially since I wanted to swing by the FM for MOAR tomatoes.
There were two nice quiches I forgot to take pics of — a spinach one, and a ham and cheese one. Nice, but quiche is not my thang, I guess.
French toast using bakery cranberry/walnut bread. With maple syrup and strawberries. It’s been more than I year since I made French toast; I should make it more often. It’s a great excuse to eat butter and syrup.
