Woke up sad & missing my snuggle monkey something fierce. The darkness outside on a super-gloomy day doesn’t help, either. Thought a colorful bowl of fruit would brighten my day.

I was happy to see our local Farmer’s Market vendor has his bagel game on this summer. Are these the best bagels ever? Far from it. Are they the best bagel’s within a 50-mile radius of where I live? You betcha. I’ll be filling the freezer with a two month supply.
Here with a nice cold-smoked BC king salmon and scallion cream cheese. Also, my first sip of gazpacho for this summer. Excellent all around.

A dear friend made fantastic bagels (and croissants, and sourdough… le sigh!) you could call dibs on and pick them up at her house. A real treat with good smoked salmon, shmear & horseradish.
She moved to Maine a year ago. Seeing your delightful plate reminded me of how much I miss those bagels
