Half a toasted slice of Wegmans sprouted, seeded sourdough with local cream cheese, and the remnants left on the seeds of 3 mangos I just cut up for future breakfasts / dessert.

Perfectly ripe :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Berry ricotta mini cake that was made yesterday. This stayed very fresh, did not get mushy from the fruit and being quite small was perfect for me for breakfast. That’s a “blob” of sour cream on top😋.

Blueberry pancake breakfast at the annual blueberry festival at a local orchard.

I had a light breakfast this morning since I will be going out for lunch later. I started with a whole pint of raspberries since they don’t keep so I better eat all of them  Then I had a couple of hbes and I am now sipping on my tea while deciding what I want for lunch.

Not the healthiest breakfast, but it was good.

Home fries from the other half of Friday’s baked potato tossed with olive oil, s/p and paprika. An over-easy egg with some chives and a slice of buttered toast.

Cawfee was cawfeed before breakfasting.

I may have to make some eggses for breakfast today, as I am out of those luscious mangoes. No taters or proper toast in the house, tho :frowning:

Breakfast burrito! Scrambled eggs, potato, tortilla chips that needed to be finished, last of the salami and ham, salsa, and cheese, basically trying to clean out lingering fridge stuff.

DH made blueberry and sour cream pancakes on the outdoor griddle. Served with Canadian maple syrup, I ate 5!

I’d forgotten the house special fried rice we’d also ordered at the poker game last night, and that we’d taken the leftovers home. 3 egg scramble à la WoL with that and some of my PIC’s pilaf from our cod dinner. I added a bit of chopped red onion that was lingering in the crisper & scallions. Nothing spicy this time. I need to give my insides a break I think.

For the first time in two days it no longer smells like a burning cabin outside so it’s safe to walk to work. Breakfast this morning was cottage cheese and strawberries and green tea.

I still vividly remember when the CA wildfires were detectable in many parts of the US — that acrid smell, the weird skies… glad things are improving for you up there (at least for now)!

Apparently the smoke we got yesterday are from wildfires in Northern Ontario - I didn’t realize there were fires up there but I’m sure I am the only one that doesn’t know about them. I haven’t listened to the news since last Friday… As far as I know the forest fires out west are still burning so I think this isn’t over. When the air quality is as bad as it was yesterday I get a sore throat and burning eyes so I take refuge in my apartment and I won’t even turn on the air conditioner for fear of sucking in the smokey air. I remember the olden days when I used to stay outside all summer and loved it :frowning:

Better times. Too bad things are only bound to get worse. Perhaps one of very few advantages of not being in one’s 20s anymore…

Really terrible air quality in Toronto yesterday. It wasn’t too bad in London, despite warnings from the govt.

Breakfast today was toast with melted cheese and honey. Coffee with milk and Scrappy’s cardamom bitters.
