Was gonna have Mickey D’s for breakfast today(2 can dine is back baby!) , but the spring forward bs screwed me over, so it was back to my usual brekkie of champions .
My bacon-loving nephew would love that tangle of pig on your plate.
We had a can of lump crab (Indonesia) leftover from the holidays and which needed to be consumed.
Toasted crab sandwiches for breakfast: crab, mayo, minced scallion, salt, pepper, and Old Bay hot sauce. Homemade, sourdough-spiked, French bread.

Nah, not with this particular setup. I’ll do catsup with scrambled eggs and maybe a greasy spoon omelette.
It looks like an excessive amount of bacon, but some of them strips are pretty thin, even though it’s supposed to be “thick cut”
Tangentially, we were in Paris. I was oogling fashion in a shop window when husband called from down the street, “Bus is coming!” So I wheeled around and jumped on the approaching bus. It takes off. Huh? No husband. Check the stop signing. Wrong bus. Jump off at next stop and different bus appears within a minute. jumped on and prayed. Yup. Husband was on this one, wearing a snarky grin and shaking his head.

Faux jian bing. I minced up leftover Chinese stir-fry and threw it in a hot skillet. Poured scrambled egg over that, and pressed a flour tortilla on top. Once the egg has cooked, fold, brown, and serve.
Leftover Maryland crab soup and cole slaw from the local catholic church’s Friday Lenten fish fry (yesterday.) I ate the fish dinner last night, but saved the soup for today.
I don’t make a lot of soup these days myself, but every time I have soup for breakfast I think to myself, “I love soup for breakfast.”
