I’ll have to see if our Turkish or International market carries it. I love eggplant/aubergine!
None of the jars have any English labelling! I just look at the pictures on the label and look at the content to try and judge if it will be a good variety. Turkish markets also sometimes stock large jars of mashed smoked aubergine which I buy to doctor to my own tastes with olive oil and garlic to make my own baba ghanoush.
This brand appears to be Turkish-German!
Hmmm. Now that I see the flaming aubergine on the label, I wonder how it might be interpreted as an emoji?!
I always buy the grilled eggplant in a glass jar for easy baba ganoush! Comes out perfectly every time
It’s a great shortcut!
Bahahahah. Ouch
Chicken curry mee (or at least adapted from the linked Woks of Life recipe - I used some green curry paste and a lot of Thai chile paste, along with the chicken and broth from earlier this week)
We have managed to eat through our stash of frozen summer garden blueberries (save one box, which I’m eye-balling for cake). Moving on to strawberries! Here swimming in juices, with yogurt, honey, and a fruit-and-nut salad topper.
Due to the tyranny of my sourdough starter, I was forced to make discard biscuits. And put egg and cheese on one of them.
So, you’re saying your dough is a bully? Nice to see you’ve beaten it back…
We are currently in a standoff.
A couple of weeks ago, my neighbor gave me about 300g of starter. I try very hard not to throw food away, so every time I feed the damn thing, I have to do something with the discard. Now I have half a sourdough loaf and four biscuits to get through before 2/28.
Maybe you need some s’do discard crackers to go with…
I make a version of those that uses no flour and is excellent, got it from my sister.
A masterpiece!
No notes!
What’s the difference between breakfast nachos and chilaquiles?
Chilaquiles are made with rectangular chips, and breakfast nachos are made with triangular chips.
A critical distinction, just like true club sandwiches should always be cut into four triangles, never four squares.
