What's for breakfast? (2025)

:notes: It’s the circle of food :notes:

Since the airport is a culinary desert & we wanted breakfast/brunch/something before making our way out here, we went to the breakfast place directly across from our pad this summer, where we also had our first (mediocre) dinner on the evening of our arrival — seems like yesterday :face_holding_back_tears:

In any event, the man and I split the “Kreuzbergteller” with a dark & light roll each, avo & tomato salad, gravlax with honey mustard sauce & dill, scrambled eggs with mozzarella, basil & tomato, grilled veg with parm & arugula, blueberry 'schmarrn (torn pancakes), 2 slices of gouda and ONE slice of salami. WTF?

I had the top of the dark roll (crunchier than the bottom) with half of the salami slice :face_with_hand_over_mouth: and one slice of the gouda. The avocado tasted weird to me, and the grilled eggplant wasn’t cooked through. The other veg were ok, tho (zuke & peppers), as was the gravlax and the egg scramble. My dude enjoyed the blueberry schmarrn & I had a little taste, but it’s just not my thang.

Our friends went there on their visit and each ordered this & another breakfast plate & really liked both, but they are not as critical as I am. I think a place that specializes in a certain type of food should ace it :woman_shrugging:t2:
