Oh lord that’s a long wait! But I’m relieved to hear you’re having this checked out. My PIC occasionally would do the same thing… snore, then stop breathing for a bit, then start again. Terrifying!
He did a sleep lab test and was diagnosed with a deviated septum (I prefer to call it deviant 
). No apnea, and things seems to have improved over time.
But it can be really dangerous, so hopefully you can get in sooner!
