What's for breakfast? (2024)

I’m a huge fan of the one pot/pan meal whenever possible

Agreed. I love taking smoothies to work on the days I’m in the office but I have two cups to clean up after then the base on the days when I overfill the blender cup - arg!

Me roo  Thar’s why I use my slow cooker a lot during the winter months. It’s the best thing since sliced bread.

I usually just toast an English muffin at work for my breakfast, but didn’t have any unfrozen. So, I pulled a @linguafood : Fage Greek 2% yogurt, CSA blueberries and MB French Vanilla & Almond granola. Not too bad!

Scrambled eggs/Spanish chorizo/feta and diced tomatoes on a warm pita.
Messy but tasty :yum:

I’ll have that sans the pita.

Then you’d get nothing!!!

Chef says no substitutions :man_shrugging:

What about omissions, tho?

Absolutely not, I don’t make the rules I just enforce them.

Hmmmm. Best to check your head if there’s a rodent steering you around the kitchen…

What’s for breakfast is us getting down to the end of our corn harvest. Served up with some herbed cat-head biscuits and chive butter. There was also gazpacho, but it didn’t make the photo.

In the corn growing department, we’re at the eat-it-or-lose-it-to-over-ripening stage, and have just enough corn left in the garden for one more meal. It’s been a good run, and then it’s over for another year.

Bfast BLT - first one this year. Smoked pepper salmon, smoked uncured bacon, avocado, gorgeous heirloom yellow marble mater, mayo, on Acme levain that was fried in the bacon fat. What makes it Bfast? I ate it for Bfast! :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m about to hit the FM to get some maters for my breakfast/brunch/lunch

Thanks for the sympathy laughs. Pots/pans that can go in the dishwasher are fine with me. Even the blender or food processor since the bowl/blade are dishwasher safe and their bases enclosed enough to be a quick swipe. But ALL parts of the waffle iron are hand wash and totally tough-to-scrub crags and crevices. Specialty toothbrush-type scrubber and wooden toothpicks for the non-stick and enameled surfaces. Waffles bake/release perfectly from it. Eggs and potatoes - not so much.

This morning’s breakfast was labneh with sliced peach and oolong tea.
