I saw Warfare, on HBO MAX. It’s a true story about a Navy Seal team that is ambushed during a surveillance mission in Iraq in 2006. The first half of the film was very slow (I guess the quiet before the storm). The second half becomes more intense and unsettling.

They show the real life surviving team at the end of the movie.

Same here. We’d note that the earlier version’s Lynley and Havers sport serious credits (at least stuff we’ve seen such as Merlin and London Kills), so it’ll be worth trying the first go 'round at some point.

My sentiments exactly.

We are enjoying the first Inspector Lynleys now! Very good. We have seen 4 episodes so far.

I’m watching Task on HBO from the makers of Mare of Easttown. The first episode was a little slow until the end. The second episode was much more tense.

One more thumbs up for Fisk. We’re watching one or two episodes at a time and thoroughly enjoying it. One of the funniest shows we’ve seen in years.

We loved it! So sad we’re done with it

I flew through the episodes way too fast. Love that show. Sadly there hasn’t been a renewal for season 4 yet.

Last One Laughing UK Season 1

i’m working my way through series 1 of the UK version. simple premise: comedians confined to a room, if you laugh, you’re out. i think fans of taskmaster will appreciate this series; a lot of the comedians overlap. very funny.

This sounds akin to an old US 1970’s show called Make Me Laugh. Contestants sat in a chair, and a rotating cast of comedians took turns trying to make them laugh. The longer they held out, the more $ they won.

What service is it on?

Netflix.

Thanks!!

RIP Robert Redford. He was 89. If the only things he’d done were All the President’s Men and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, he’d still be a legendary star. But he directed and produced, pushed independent films into thre mainstream w/ the Sundance festival and Sundance Institute, and was a champion for conservation and environmental preservation.

We enjoyed that very much. Hoping there will be another season!

Trying my best to make it through season one of Invasion, but I don’t think I can make it. I’ve FF-ed through so much of it that I’m not sure if it’ll make a difference. Maybe I’ve set the bar too high, but it’s even worse than a cheesy 60’s sci fi movie which are at least good for a laugh. Ugh :expressionless_face: Where did they find these terrible actors?!?!

The oldish TV show from the early 00s, or?
