My favourite lounge track at the moment - I can’t stop listening to it, just puts a smile on my face.
Btw I’m also into tennis…check out the video to this track LOL

L’Impératrice - VANILLE FRAISE
Blast from the past! I always thought Mark King was the lead singer, but maybe he and the other dude took turns (?).
This song transports me back to HS parties
And this
and this
and this
I could probz go on forever…
So many great versions of it! We just recently added it to our repertoire, along with Don’t Get Around Much Anymore, I’m Beginning to See the Light, and All of Me. Might add Lullaby of Birdland as well
Don’t get Around and All of Me are on Mr. Nelson’s Stardust album that also includes Blue Skies. We were sold on the voice that sounds like a saxaphone and the intelligent phrasing – well, whadya expect from the writer of Crazy.
Hair. Jeez I’m old.
Beats the alternative
True dat.
Sorry for jumping, but , for Waylon, I’d go with: “Mamma’s don’t let your babies grow up to be cowboys”, Pride “Crystal Chandelier”, Haggard “Misery and Gin” the live version.
David A. Coe would agree. Steve Goodman could really write a song.
McKinley Morganfield at his finest. I adored Muddy. His voice truly had the mud to it.
