Weekly Menu Planning – September 2024

Greetings, People.

Back home from a 3-day road trip and we’re at that cross-roads where maybe garden veg will still coming in, and maybe not. Thus a lot of “TBD”s in the meal plan. On the upside, the fruit trees are producing, so at some point there are fruity pies, galettes, and cakes to look forward to.

Cooking for two adults in the PNW.

FRI: Milk Street’s Camarones Arondeados (chili shrimp). Coastal style rice. Veg TBD. (Apologies in advance for the paywall.)

SAT: Tuna melt – contemplating the addition of either potato chips or bacon, as I’ve been reading about each somewhere on the internet (most likely here on HO). Eric Greenspan’s tomato-basil soup (as introduced by @jammy).

SUN: Deep dish pizza + extra for leftovers (leftover pizza in the freezer = very convenient). Salad.

MON: ATK’s Japanese steak with summer squash and mushrooms (another paywall).

TUE: Pan roasted chicken breasts. Sweet potato fries. Veg TBD.

WED: Fish tacos – panko crusted halibut. Cabbage slaw and avocados.

THUR: Pork chops. NYT’s Creamy Mac and Cheese (gift link). Veg TBD.
