Let’s see… as per usual, some plans shook out, others did not. We still managed to eat very well, like a reasonably spicy Indian shrimp curry with a fab raita that was still good & fiery after two weeks in the fridge (!), and a wonderful bowl of tonkotsu ramen last night.
Menu “planning” for two w̶i̶l̶d̶ ̶&̶ ̶c̶r̶a̶z̶y̶ mildly interesting adults continues for a couple more weeks in Happy Valley until we are finally back in Berlin ![]()
Tonight is TBD. I was going to make my heavenly tofu dish (easy, fast, delicious) but since we already had ASIAN last night I’ll have to check with my mister if he’s up for it. Our Asian markets also get roast duck delivered from NYC today, so we might splurge on that.
Tomorrow our good friends from the big bad city are in town briefly & were hoping to see us for drinks and/or dinner, so we’re having them & possibly another friend over for a scallop appetizer (seared, lemon zest, yadda yadda yadda) and probz a pasta puttanesca or some such. They can bring salad.
Saturday is graduation, so the town is full up with parents, and going out or ordering in will be impossible. It’s likely there will be a poker game, but peeps will have to fend for themselves as far as dinner is concerned. TBD
Sunday Maybe we finally thaw that BISO chicken breast that’s been lingering in the freezer forevah, and that I’ve been meaning to prepare Greek-style with lemon potatoes… or maybe we’ll make hot pot, as I recently discovered sliced lamb and beef in the freezer for this very purpose.
Monday is often boygah day @casa lingua, so why TF not?
Tuesday is a ladies night to belatedly celebrate one of our gal pal’s birthday, likely at our favorite watering hole.
Wednesday TBD
Happy cooking everyone. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead. Keep your loved ones close & eat all the good tings! ![]()
