Naf, this has always been my POV. Where does it stop? But, I have a few beloved vegetarians & vegans in my life, so I will happily accommodate them. I’m not one of those cooks who sneak chicken broth or anchovy paste into those things. I think that’s amoral, unethical and a downright lie to tell your abstinent guests. I can come up W/ umami flavors as long as I know in advance, who eats what. Will say dinner parties in the 70’s and 80’s were soooooo much easier. But that’s ok, the world, and life changes as well.
This *ish makes me crazy- i mean, i assume they also ate it, not brought exclusively for others? Shrimp = pescatarian, not vegan, not vegetarian. SMH
I didn’t see her eat it, but she made sure each serving got a squirt of bottled dressing.
