My pigeon peas are not split , but I might finally try the toor dal on this list. Seems like it would be perfect in a “thermos”.

Add some rice and make it khichdi or dal-chawal, for a complete meal.

I will be making shrimp rolls (like lobster rolls but with shrimp) and a cucumber salad. But I have stocked up on many bags of chips, and made a stop at the liquor store yesterday. And the chances are good that there will be stress baking over the next few days.

Not sure if I will be watching results, but it’s Tuesday, so that’s tacos. I think they will be Arctic char. Likely with some of my freezer stash of pipián. Corn tortillas.

Idiocracy is a fantastic suggestion! For anyone else who’s interested, it’s streaming on both Disney+ and AppleTV right now.

How do I volunteer for this hibernation?

Also on HULU.

Yay us!

we’ll be too busy to eat.

That’s what I’m thinking. The instructions are to bring “snacks”. We can take breaks, but I don’t remember doing that in the past.

I’m one of two “ballot clerks” during an eight hour shift. How about you?

We always vote on election Tuesday. No point in giving anyone a heads up.,

That’s not what this thread is about, tho.

But it turned into it somehow.

How so? Everybody here knows when elections are. The thread is literally about election night.
