With you all the way. Although I may have to combine several mood enhancers/numbing agents, depending
Sadly, I doubt the next day (or the day after) will bring much of any clarity. We really have no idea for how long we’ll remain in this stressful limbo, and experiencing this constant level of anxiety for days and weeks is almost as bad as chronic pain. Oy.
I’m expecting the worst — while very tentatively, very low-key hoping for the best.
I’m having trouble eating much as it is. Won’t watch. We watched an episode of the Love Boat tonight with our son, perhaps in preparation for the election. Wine and cheese and crackers and dips will be around and our son will do his own thing for dinner as usual.
Will check online news during the evening and probably at some point just stop.
I agree. We are not going to have clarity for a long time, and even if there seems to be a clear result, that could be challenged at any time. Into January, as happened last cycle.
Wow. It took me a few years to understand how bizarre Hogan’s Heroes was. Then there were the TV series that were all about the Cold War. MASH, Mission Impossible. The Avengers (Diana Rigg, Patrick Macnee, not Marvel Comics). I highly recommend the Diana Rigg, to those for whom this series is new.
It got me through law school. I never missed an episode. It would break my heart to watch the reruns now. The final episode is matchless. The last episode featuring Col. Henry Blake just knocks the air right out of you. I always wanted to work in an office that was like the 4077. I did … for a year. Then the Gods intervened …
Kasha varnishkes sounds heavenly! I have the makings but need to find a good recipe, as I haven’t made this in ages.
I did find some printable election 2024 bingo cards, which may make any election-coverage exposure slightly more tolerable. (I’m married to a news junkie so may not be able to avoid it, unless I hide in my bedroom and watch, e.g., HGTV reruns.)
TBH, weed helped with my stress level last night. I’ll have to see if it makes me feel better or worse come Tuesday evening (and, likely, beyond…).
