I used to feed raw ground chicken that I ground myself and froze most. I still think that’s ideal but it became too difficult for me. Now my cat eats 2 meals a day of roasted chicken. She’s almost 9, in the best of health, only to the vet for spaying and recently had infected anal gland that cleared up.
Oh, so sorry that your little cat is going through that. I share your hope about the veterinary derm.
FWIW, we took care of my mom’s lovely senior dog who was suffering from skin issues at the time. I changed her food and her condition improved dramatically. A lingering bit of the condition cleared up with help from a med. So, sending hope!
Well, a start at least. The vet was a bit perplexed due to Ziggy’s young age. Took some skin scrapings to be sent to lab. Starting out w/ cyclosporine and something to rule out parasite hypersensitivity. Return in 1 month. Biopsy may come next, plus perhaps treating the other cat.
We got this more comfortable pillow for Matisse when he got neutered (mainly because we were tired of being jabbed in the leg with those large hard plastic cones ).
