Any recommendations or ones to avoid? We’re going to use it boil water for tea as well as for pour over coffee. Would like one that’s safe, compact, and stainless steel. Thanks.
This one.

I’ve got this Hamilton Beach 1 liter. I used my credit card’s points/rewards, and got it to use at work (all they had were Keurig machines). I like the 1L size for both the one mug I brewed at work or up to 6 cups of pour over. The past 2 summers I’ve taken it with me on road trips to Montana and Washington. The carafe is “shock resistant” glass (I like being able to see if there’s anything unexpected in the water), but they also make full stainless versions.
We still use our ancient immersion beverage heater, it’s gotta be almost 40 years since I bought it. We use it while traveling and a sturdy ceramic mug is the vessel we use it in.
We have this one, about $32.00 from Amazon. Dual voltage and pretty quick to boil, we’ve been happy with it so far.

If space is the main concern, immersion heaters work well. With the $2 ones like this, you have to remember to unplug it before you remove it from your mug or glass. I often forget so often bring two.
