Always happens. I start asking, they look up when expected on the shelf. That day I call up, tell them how many I want. Go in that day to pick up.
Thank you so much for this - I was able to snag two boxes this morning. I’ve never had them but they sound right up my alley.
Good to know and I have never tried submitting a product hold at TJ’s. I didn’t think they would accommodate.
Tried TJ’s bagged lemon arugula salad mix for the first time today. I added apple cider vinegar to the pkg’d dressing to cut the oil, added feta and tomato to the mix and ditched the cellophane nut “pepples” and tiny parm shards. Still a bargain.
Cheaper than just getting plain old arugula and doing everything else you did?
Yes, $2.49 for the mixed greens/veg bag when I already had everything else I put in the salad on hand. The bag makes 4 salad portions plus the included dressing while a full bag of just arugula alone costs more and yellows on me before I finish it.
So yeah.
Cool.
Luxurious little treat! They don’t go bad, I was hoarding them, eating about one little fig per month.
So far, meh on the frozen breaded calamari. I followed the label instructions, using the air fryer, and even letting it cook for much longer than they said, it was still soggy. I’ll try different methods before giving up on it.
Thanks – almost picked them up yesterday
Tempura cauliflower is back
Also interesting – batttered shiitake mushrooms, which I will probably pick up next trip.
Plus one to that. Disappointing.
NAY - Thanksgiving stuffing seasoned popcorn
Slightly sweet, which is weird, because stuffing isn’t, and neither is the seasoning.
The regular herby popcorn is always a YEA.
If you like port they make a nice treat in the evening.
Really? this my favorite brownie mix!
That’s too bad. I used to love the old ones where you could add yogurt and make an individual serving too.
I recently tried Ghirardelli’s triple chocolate box mix and would recommend it. Costco has a multipack.
I use the Ghiradelli boxed brownie mix when making Toronto Jo’s bars of shame. Always a hit.
I typically make cocoa brownies, but the box ones are so easy if you need a dessert to take somewhere in a pinch. Bit sweet for my personal taste, but deeply chocolatey which is what I want in a brownie.
I only use these for those bars, since the point of those bars is something incredibly easy, and they are perfect for that.
I went to a potluck yesterday and someone had made brownies with Reese’s chips. They were fantastic, and it turns out they come as a box mix complete with the chips. Who knew? Not me.
The best way to make brownies from a boxed mix, either TJ or Ghiradelli or whatever, is to. use Diet Coke.
Just Diet Coke, boxed brownie mix, and nothing else.
Gives you the best brownies ever from a box.
