Yeah, I know the stress of these limited time events are more than you can imagine until you’re put through it. It was fascinating watching the masters series where these world-reknown pros couldn’t figure out how to manage the clock either. So definitely not a knock on anyone’s foods when they can’t do their best under those conditions.

My understanding is that they film a bunch of LCK episodes at once, so it’s essentially like a few QFs in a row with very little downtime, which might an be extra-stressful introduction to the nature of the competition. It’s too bad, but better he realize it’s burning him out early on rather than later in the game. And kudos to him for prioritizing his mental health.

I was watching a Chopped episode last night, and there was a contestant named “Molly” . I was sure I had seen before, but not only could I not figure out her last name (and other contestants had there whole names plastered on the screen), but I could not match a screenshot of her face to anything available on Google!

I can’t imagine what may have happened but I wondered if she was just over it. It’s really hard to have folks unsee stuff once it’s out there.

Similar feelings and watching path here.

Finally caught up on this season, including LCK.

I am watching on a small screen so that I can forward past the bits I find annoying in between, and it has done wonders for my enjoyment :joy:

Quite surprised by the mid-season outcome of LCK too, but rooting for the person now!

Will the person that lost in the finale now compete with the next person who comes in, or will they bring in someone new who wasn’t in the competition already?

Believe it or not, if you watch directly from bravotv.com, there are no commercials. I used to DVR and watch, but then I had to ff through the commercials. That and the lack of gimmicks have made this an enjoyable season. And there’s only one chef I find annoying so far.

And I’m curious what will happen in LCK now. It’s been full of twists so far. Also curious how you did that blur on your post.

Re LCK, they are doing a double elimination in the upcoming TC episode, so I’m betting those two will bounce to LCK and they’ll go from there.

Massimo. I kind of liked him in the first episode, but he’s wearing on me. And he seems like a PITA in the kitchen. When I think of what kind of chef I would want to work for, Massimo isn’t it–he seems like a screamer with a too-healthy ego. On the flip side, Corwin seems like he’d be a great guy to work for: demanding but fair, I’d probably learn a lot from him.

Of course, I haven’t watched this week’s episode yet. And we all know these perceptions can change based on the elves’ edits.

Haha, that was my immediate thought too! Most cheftestants used to be scared to cook Indian food because of her critiques.

@kg I’m right there with you. The antics I can roll my eyes at an move on, but dude - he’s so dying to be the center of attention for everything. I understand he can make great food, but he’s like the friend you can only hang out with every once in a while, and maybe only like up to 1-2 hours before you have to check out.

But surprised at the outcome, tbh, though when he started down the curry path I had a bad feeling :roll_eyes:. I was surprised he didn’t make a party with potato or another starch and place it on the curry.

I’m pretty sure that was Sara Bradley, from the Kentucky season (I think an all stars season too).
