I was confused because recipes I looked up for Ukha don’t have anything sour in them. That might have been her twist.
@Saregama , or maybe Google AI magic?
I’m confused – what does that mean?
I found that reference searching on Google, which now includes results labled AI that are not only not true, but sometimes conflicting something else in the search results.
Looked like this
But that’s the Ep 2 recap, not about Ukha. That’s why I’m confused.
Oh! I just tried to make just one post responding to you and sharing the recap.
Sorry for the confusion!
I m enjoying this season much more than last. The challenges have been interesting and the chefs have personalities.Kristen has grown into the role nicely.
I want some of that pinecone jam that Anya brought from home.
I am also enjoying this season more than the last (and really enjoy Kristen as the new host)
AND would like to try that pinecone jam . . . were they eating the cones themselves too? I couldn’t exactly tell from how it was shot. At one point it looked like they were removed when eating - but then in another shot (or maybe someone said something) it seemed like they might eat them. I can’t imagine that they would get soft enough to be pleasant but maybe these are different types of cones.
While I enjoyed this episode - I am not now and will never be a fan of this whole “give them something horrible that they have to use” thing. I don’t like it in other shows and I don’t really like it in TC. I want to see them do what they can do, not “the best they can do given horrible circumstances”. But clearly I’m in the minority given how all these cooking challenge shows are going these days.
Then I think you would like Tournament of Champions on Food Network.
I’d been wondering if I should post about watching that one.
thanks - I’ll have to check it out. I’ve not watched the Food Network in soooo long but willing to give it a try!
It’s a good quality show.
Like Iron Chef America but with GF.
Gluten free ? Oh! Actually I was thinking of Next Level Chef, which I also watch when in the mood. It is a rare mood.
Guy Fieri.
New cooking show concept?
Chefs who are gluten-free making only gluten free dishes judged by celiacs?
There is often an episode of "Great British Menu " in which contestants must adapt a shell fish dish for a judge with a shell fish alergy.
I feel like if that was in the US, it would be a lawsuit waiting to happen
Yeah, it always amazes me that Tom Kerridge can’t eat shellfish. Seems like it would’ve been hard to become a chef.
There was a TC contestant within the past few seasons who was allergic to seafood, and she actually cooked shrimp on the show. As I recall, she used gloves and may have asked another contestant to taste.
