Top Chef Season 22

I follow Padma on Instagram and she’s been very busy putting out content in the last week or so. Wondering if she regrets leaving. I did like her show Taste the Nation but she’s probably covered all the bases on that. Really like Kristen and her chef background makes her opinions valuable. Haven’t watched the first episode yet. Was finishing up this week’s Great British Menu last night.

On Daily Motion? As of last week I was only able to find about 10 episodes. Is it here some trick to finding all of them? Also, when I find them I save them on a watchlist, but I can never find the watchlist!

Given up on Daily motion and using hdclump.com. They are put up on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night. The last one I watched was episode 21 so maybe half way?

I like them both. I also liked this first episode better than last season. The chefs actually seem to have personalities this time!

What was the name of the dish Anya made with arctic char in ep. 1? I am intrigued…

Has anyone watched the first episode of LCK yet? I’m really intrigued by the concept and cuisine of the winning chef. It’s something that is unfamiliar to me (especially a “modern” version), so I’m hoping the chef continues to do well so I could see more. Would love for this chef to showcase more in the main show.

AV Club; Top Chef kicks off its Canada-set season quite nicely, eh?

"Along with representing Canadian tradition, Tom warns, “Don’t forget to put yourself on the plate.”

“For Anya, that means an ukha (Russian clear soup) made with Arctic char, beet caviar, and rye crackers, with Gail commending the “fantastic” sourness of the broth.”"

I did watch LCK, and I agree about the winning chef. I liked that person, and can see them going far. (I also liked the one who was disqualified.)

I watched The Dish With Kish, too, and I’d really like a plate of that prawns puttanesca, thank you — it looked scrumptious.

I’m really glad Anya did well.

She’s just seemed so out of place compared to the other cheftestants, and so much older.

It’s like she should be in Top Chef Masters. or the Cheftestants’ mom.

Thank you!

I am too! I was worried because the editing in the Quickfire did not make me feel hopeful. I am really looking forward to seeing what other dishes she puts up!

Just watched! Surprise!

Me three!

How about Brooke’s son being 17! :exploding_head: I’m happy that Brooke and Kristen are friends, but I can’t help but think Brooke doesn’t watch the re-runs and remember Kristen coming back and winning without at least a little angst.

Not to bring this into the true “Bravo” side of things, but I wouldn’t have recognized her if Kristin didn’t introduce her as Brooke. And it’s not that she got bigger or got old, I just didn’t recognize her face. She still looks fit and slim and looks great for someone with a 17 year old child! Was that just me? It really felt like she could have slid into a housewife show on Bravo.

And I guess I never really thought about how tall Kristin was until she stood next to Brooke.

I didn’t even notice that. But, I saw Brooke on Tournament of Champions and she looked like she had a little Botox work done

Who hasn’t.

You think I get those nice round blue cheeks naturally???
