Loooking goood. I never get sick of ribs. What did you pay for the smoker?

Dang. Good day! They look excellent.
Score!
I bought a “vintage” Mirromatic pressure cooker at a Goodwill store in the late '80s and used it fairly regularly. I fell for the IP however but didn’t feel like it pressure cooked better than the stovetop version. So I BuyNothing’ed it to make way for an airfryer. When will I learn??
I use my air fryer a lot more than all my other countertop appliances. It is perfect for a one person household like me.
Yep. Me, too. I’m shocked at what I put in the thing. I just made toast for a sandwich. Nowhere does it mention making toast that I know of. Shrug …I only have a 2 qt.
I saw this really large “Red Copper” pan at Goodwill yesterday and grabbed it. I really like these pans and they work great on induction burners/hobs.
Well last night I went to put it in the dishwasher to sanitize it and it wouldn’t fit. No matter which way I turned it… it was too long.
So I took an angle grinder and chopped off part of the handle, then took a file and smoothed over the rough edge.
The funny part is Sunshine was watching TV as I was doing the dishes and loading the dishwasher. Then I went into the garage, she heard the sound of power tools, then I went back to loading the dishes. She then asked what was I doing?? So I explained I needed to shorten the handle on this pan to get it to fit into the dishwasher. She just shook her head… I thought it was a perfectly logical solution to the problem. Doesn’t everyone take an angle grinder and modify their cookware??
Yer a nut. Someday well have to go bowlin’. I’ve been scoring some good Corningware.
Nice job, though. “Natural” looking cut. Keep that thing away from my CI. I’ve never done that before.
My local humane society thrift is flooded with the Foreman grills (a dozen or more, big, small, and in between) and they never seem to sell.
I’ve gotten 2 large instant pots there that appear to have never been used. Gave one to daughter #2 then got the other for daughter #1 when she realized Old Dad was right last year when I told her the one she’d selected for her wedding registry was too small.
Yeah the IP won’t get to the pressure that a stovetop version can reach. I can’t remember for sure but I think it runs about 3 psi less.
It’s not better than my stovetop PCs for sure, but it serves a different purpose — it can be left without watching, and will turn itself off. So there’s that!
I ended up getting a 6qt one despite really wanting a 3qt, because the sous vide version of the 3qt was out of stock, and the 6qt was on sale for $40. My aunt keeps telling me she’ll buy me the 3qt and I can give her my 6qt, but also that I should take the air fryer lid she bought for her 8qt that also fits the 6… so I don’t know whether I’m going to get stuck with both a 3 and a 6, or she’s really going to take the 6
In any case, I use the IP for different things than I do my stovetop PCs.
Ask her to sell it to me! I have an eight quart
We recently replaced our fridge with one that doesn’t have an automatic ice maker (by choice), so we’ve been using ice cube trays. Sunshine has had some difficulty filling our old ice cube trays and spilling the water. So, I found these today in my travels. I really didn’t know they made a covered Ice cube tray, but here it is. I found them at the 99 Cent store and yes, they were only 99 cents each. SCORE!! There is a little door that opens and closes for easy filling and a cover to prevent spillage en route to the freezer. As a bonus, they came in lavender (Sunshine’s favorite color)!!
I still have my ice cube trays from my last fridge without an ice maker. They’re not the old aluminum ones with the handles, but they are quite rigid plastic. I keep them just in case. Just in case always seems to happen.
Just picked this up today. $25
Been wanting one for some time. Works like a dream. I sure appreciate honest people.
I must say it was a good day.
Oh my. Jealous! Thrift store or yard sale?
Craigslist. No photo, so I asked the color (my wife insists on white on the kitchen counter.) Sure as heck. She said it works great; she just doesn’t bake much. Works as she said. I’m thankful.
Saving those bananas for oatmeal.
That’s amazing.
