For someone we know has actually made a little human being your enthusiasm for making a steak does not go unappreciated!! Yeah for Gracie!!! It looks delicious!! (and yes $5 for 8oz filet mignon is an a great price)
Ha! I hardly make them and I feel like when I do they are always under seasoned or overdone. I love my thermapen. Probably my most often used kitchen tool.
Has anyone ever tried this?
This is a cool video. @joonjoon when is the Korea hodown?
What Does the Most Expensive Korean BBQ Omakase Tā¦:
Iām always game for a little Korean feast! I just saw that video today, looks nice but Iām personally not that crazy about high brow Korean food.
I really want to go to the AYCE place in Edison with @NotJrvedivici and throw down. Bob, have you been to Korean BBQ?
Iām down. Let me know. I wasnāt saying we have to get high end beef lol. I thought the video was cool. My request is we do charcoal @seal @BossaNova lets try to make this happen. Jr will demolish Edison. Iām ready!
My wife is much more into Asian food than I, Iāve been to a few Asian bbq places but wouldnāt be able to tell you the difference between Korean vs Mongolian etc.
What AYCE in Edison? Iām down to give anything (except Indian) a shot! Just might have to wait till after Memorial Day, Iām trying to get back into my bikini bod, just 3 weeks away!!!
Count me in
Iām waiting for an awesome Jeff comment on this. Iām sure Iām going to spit my beer out

He reminds me of zorro if he was a chef! He definitely keeps his cutlery sharp
I hereby invite thee!!
Justin surprised me with a pack of filet mignon yesterday and wanted me to cook them up as he knows I havenāt had filet in a while and heās not big on steak at all. Did them with a peppercorn crust and a red wine-shallot sauce. Side of roasted potatoes. Rare for me, a la hockey puck for him. Tragedy I know.
That looks great Greg! I forgot to post my prime strip I made Wednesday night. Shop Right had them on sale for $8.99lbs so this 14± Oz was $7.00, you really canāt beat that for a piece of prime meat. They also had the Japanese Wagyu on sale for $69per libs.
Alright guys, I think Iām officially ready for lunch now with these steak pics.
