Looks great! Your table settings are gorgeous and that relish tray is a true treasure! What great memories!
Wow! Amazing!
C’est fini! Happy Thanksgiving
My dinner was turkey breast, Pepperidge Farms dressing with leeks and celery, mashed potatoes with butter, sour cream and green onion, gravy made from turkey drippings, flour and turkey broth, whole berry cranberry sauce from the can. Salad was mixed baby greens, fennel, celery, red Anjou, orange marmalade, rice vinegar and oo dressing. Cocktail was a maple syrup Manhattan and there was wine with.
Everything looks great and such a beautiful relish tray! I have serving- ware envy!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Grilled turkey club sandwiches. Convection oven fries with umami gravy. Carrot salad. Pickled onions. Pickled blueberries. Pickled green beans. Pumpkin pots de creme with chocolate brownie cookie.
It was all good, and that dessert was probably one of the best things I’ve eaten in my life (so says she who is in general dessert deprived).
Gorgeous, Lambchop That’s the most beautiful turkey I have ever seen.
looks great, Aubergine
Our Thanksgiving ‘lunch’ was consumed during my infusion at the hospital. It was the BEST Thanksgiving meal I have ever had, and I used to cook t-day meals in hopitals and other institutions bitd. This place went all out! The employees were very happy!
The mashed potatoes were sublime and the cranberry sauce was unique and delish. We split one $10 tray full of food. No pie! At home we grilled steaks, had baked potatoes, green salad and KA Maple Pecan Bars or dessert.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Today’s turkey was a pre brined and pre spatchcocked bird from Cream Co. in Oakland, CA via Goodeggs. I cut the legs out barely 40 minutes into cooking at 450F because they had come up to temp already. Left the breast in just a tad bit too long but it was still pretty good.
For sides we had mac and cheese, sausage and mushroom stuffing, broccolini, potatoes mashed and scalloped, turkey gravy, fresh baked bread, and cranberry sauce from a can.
Reporting back on Thanksgiving dinner 2025. The stars of this plate were the smoked turkey breast and cornbread dressing with mild chilies. Thank you, @caractacus for inspiring me to try my hand at a chile cornbread dressing, and @LindaWhit for the idea of squirreling away corn stock in the freezer.
The roasted butternut squash tossed with peppery greens are a riff on an old Ina Garten recipe that makes it to the plate every T’Day, because we always have a stash of winter squash this time of year.
Purchased pecan pie from a local café for dessert. The whipped cream flavored with a touch of maple syrup was extra nice. Oh yeah, and as our app we had nibbled smoked salmon pâté with Finn Crisp sourdough rye thin crackers (not pictured) and sipped some bubbly. Just enough to keep our energy going while cooking.
Now to portion and freeze the rest of the smoked turkey breast that we won’t be eating right away for winter meals. I have visions of smoked turkey chili, tacos, sweet potato and turkey hash, and maybe more in our future.
Pretzel breadsticks and obatzda to start and choucroute garnie for the main. Sweet potato flan, sachertorte and tarte normande for dessert.
Fabulous meal! And so untraditional ![]()
Already thinking next year might be crab cakes
Why not? Crab is good eats ![]()
We had crab cakes for an appie last night. Yum!
Our friend’s crab dip was so good, but so rich! We had to stop ourselves from having too much of it ![]()
