Here is my farro salad with apples, pistachios, pomegranate and soft green herbs, ready to go to my neighbors’ for dinner, along with sparkling perry (pear cider) and two pies (triple berry and cherry crumb) from the village bakery. Thanks to @truman for first posting about the salad on the Favorite New Recipes for 2025 thread and to @Autumm2 for suggesting that Cosmic Crisp apples would not brown in the salad, as they did not. Fabulous salad, huge hit at dinner! We also had turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, roasted butternut squash, green beans with mushrooms, creamed spinach and cranberry sauce. All delicious and the plates of food were beautiful and colorful. My two pies were also popular. And the sparkling perry was perfect! As always, the company was the best part.
