Cutting to the chase, wrapped in paper towels, sealed inside a plastic zip bag, in the fridge’s crisper bin. Good for 14+ days.

I do shrooms, peppers, onions, cucs, zucchini, corn, etc. in a non-sealed bag with a paper towel on the bottom floor of my fridge.
Green onions go in a half inch of water (roots down), in the windowsill.

I’m going to try this. I hate when my shrink wrapped cucumbers go bad. Ewwww.
If a person is keeping cucumbers for 14 days, whatever may become of them is that person’s fault.
Extending time on fresh produce is important to homebound people like myself, who have to rely on grocery delivery services, which cost quite a bit more.
